Pregnant 14-year-old beaten by own family members to induce abortion

A PREGNANT 14-year-old was subjected to a brutal beating by her own family members — repeatedly hit in the stomach — to try to induce an abortion.

The teenage girl eventually delivered a stillbo baby in the bathroom of her home in Pleasant Grove, a suburb of Dallas, Texas, Dallas Moing News reported.

Sharon Jones, 45, 27-year-old Lonnell McDonald, Cedric Jones, 27, and 25-year-old Cecila McDonald were arrested on Tuesday over the assault and charged with engaging in organised criminal activity.

The beating, which lasted six hours, took place in 2013, but the teenage girl stayed quiet until another woman, who said she witnessed part of the brutal assault, took her to a police station on May 22.

The teenager told police she was a virgin before she was raped by a family member in August 2012 and “did not tell anyone about the sexual assault because … she was embarrassed,” according to an affidavit tendered by Dallas Police Department.

The teenage girl’s relatives found out that she was pregnant between January and March 2013 and “became very nervous and were conceed about … [Child Protective Services] removing children from the residence.”

Sharon Jones allegedly gave the girl “multiple doses of birth control pills, Plan B (emergency contraception) pills and cinnamon tablets … to abort the baby,” police said.

After the pills failed to induce an abortion, Cecila McDonald pinned the girl down while Lonnell McDonald began “repeatedly bouncing up and down” while sitting on the girl’s abdomen. He also is accused of kicking the girl repeatedly.

Cecilia McDonald told her, “You ain’t about to get my kids taken away from me,” while Lonnell McDonald laughed, according to the affidavit.

When Cedric Jones walked in on the assault, Lonnell McDonald allegedly told him “he had already been kicking the “s**t out of the b***h.”

The woman who helped file a police report last month told police the girl was crying in extreme pain. Sharon Jones told the girl to “shut up” and cry into a pillow during the assault, which lasted about six hours, according to the affidavit.

The attack only ended when the 14-year-old girl began bleeding heavily and vomited before suffering a bathroom miscarriage about two hours later.

The relatives tried to bu the baby’s body in a charcoal grill, but the remains were not destroyed, the affidavit says. Two days later, Sharon Jones paid Cedric McDonald $25 to “take care of the rest of it,” and the remains were disposed of in a plastic bag at an unknown location.

The family never sought medical care for the teenage girl. She was given iron pills because of her blood loss.
