Pennsylvania man Justin Bellanco arrested after 'liking' ex-girlfriend’s Facebook photos

When you have a restraining order, clicking “like” on a Facebook picture still violates the law, the Times Leader of Wilkes-Barre, Pa., reports.

A man in Pittston, Pa., was arrested and called to court after he “liked” his ex-girlfriend's Facebook photos, which violated a restraining order against him.

April Holland, 24, obtained a protection from abuse order against Justin Bellanco, 26, on July 28 after claiming he was stalking her and her friends, “and threatened to shoot her knee cap to watch her suffer,” the order application states.

A restraining order was granted against Bellanco on Aug. 4, “prohibiting him from having any contact with Holland for one year,” the Times Leader reports. Since then, Holland reported to police that Bellanco has been “liking” photos and videos on her Facebook page. Police arrested him Monday and report that he “liked" 22 photos and videos.

Court records also reveal that Bellanco obtained an order against Holland in April 2014 claiming she choked him when he walked her out of his home after a domestic dispute. The order expired a year later.

Bellanco was arraigned on a contempt of court charge in Kingston, Pa., on Tuesday and released on a $5,000 unsecured bail, the Times Leader reports.
