Somewhere there is a master list of “do’s” and “don’ts” when seeking a job. Surely, sending a picture of your junk to the HR department where you’re applying must fall under “don’t.”
One 23-year-old man is now living proof doing so can put a real crimp in your potential paycheck.
The man apparently made a good impression during an interview with the unnamed business last month. "There was a conditional offer of employment made to this particular applicant," Elmhurst Police Chief Michael Ruth told the Chicago Tribune.
Shortly after he “texted the HR director and sent a nude photo of himself."
Another revealing picture showed up a day later with no explanation. The company alerted cops who, “contacted the offender who admitted to sending the photographs.”
Police reports confirm the man explained the photos were “meant for another individual and were sent to the victim in error."
The man was told to end contact with the HR director and the company “rescinded the offer of employment."
The business isn’t bringing charges, but Ruth told the paper the department is "seeing it much more often now with our young people sending inappropriate photos of themselves." The chief explained most didn't realize the potential damage involved.
“The next thing you know, it takes on a life of its own," he lamented.
