Ohio Jet plunge horror that killed nine caught on selfie
Business jet plunges into houses just short of runway in Ohio

NINE people aboard a private business jet are believed to have been killed when their aircraft plunged into apartments in Ohio.

The accident happened about 3pm Ohio time when the twin-engined Hawker H25 business jet clipped electrical wires and a house before diving into an apartment complex while on approach to the Akron Fulton Inteational Airport.

A residential apartment was partially destroyed by the impact, but firefighters quickly prevented the flames from spreading.

The aircraft has a capacity of 12, but is believed to have been carrying nine when the crash occurred. It is not yet known if any on the ground were killed, though authorities state the building was believed to be unoccupied at the time.

Paige McVeigh, a nearby resident, was filming a video clip at the time of the crash. Her clip is embedded above.
