O.J. Simpsons ex-girlfriend Christie Prody arrested after snatching womans purse in Dakota mall

O.J. Simpson's ex-girlfiend is being held on $10,000 bail after police say she stole a purse from a woman outside a mall in Fargo, North Dakota.

Christie Prody pled not guilty to charges that she tried to steal the purse from an unnamed woman who allegedly stuggled with Prody over the bag until mall security arrived.

Police said the victim suffered minor injuries.

Old flames: Simpson and Prody had a volatile relationship marked by violence and drug abuse

This is the second theft-related charge Prody has faced this year.

In April, she was charged for stealing pain killers from a home where she worked as a nurse's aid.

Prody dated Simpson for 13 years until the pair split in 2008.

She was a college dropout who met the former football star not long after he was acquitted of murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson in 1995.

When they met, Prody was only 20-years-old, and commentators reacted in horror at the physical similarities between her and Simpson's deceased wife.

She later admitted she thought Simpson was responsible for the killings and in television interviews described her relationship with the Heisman Trophy winner as frought with domestic violence, drinking, and drugs.

On the market: Prody shopped a sex tape earlier this year but couldn't find a buyer

Earlier this year she was reportedly shopping a sex tape made with the unidentified man she dated after Simpson but there were no buyers.

Simpson is currently serving a 33 year jail sentence for armed robbery following a raid on a Las Vegas hotel room when he tried to get back some of his sports memorabilia.
