NY man stabs girlfriend Katherine German to death after chasing her down in his car: cops

A young mother is dead after her enraged ex-boyfriend chased her down, ran her off the road, then viciously stabbed her early Wednesday in the Bronx, police said.

Doines Espinal, 31, allegedly pursued 20-year-old Katherine German on a high speed chase at about 4 a.m. down on a ramp on Pelham Parkway in his green outer borough taxi onto the Northbound New England Thruway. Police say Espinal rammed the SUV German was a passenger in, causing it to flip over a barrier. He then jumped out of his car and stabbed her repeatedly.

According to the Daily News, Espinal was outside the Paradise Hotel in the Bronx when German left with another man around 4 a.m.

Espinal and German have a two-month-old baby together, according to a relative.

Police say the two had a violent history and that German had an order of protection against Espinal. It is unclear if the order of protection was still active, however.

The suspect remained at the scene until cops arrived and he was arrested and booked the at 45th precinct.

Charges are pending in the case.
