Drunk party bus fight ends with reveler tossed from vehicle and crushed to death on highway
A party bus ride home from a country music concert in Califoia ended in tragedy this weekend when a 25-year-old woman was thrown out and crushed on the highway during a drunken fight with another passenger.

A group, including fatally-injured Natasha Noland, was headed back to Santa Cruz from a Brad Paisley concert shortly before midnight on Friday when the fight started, according to the San Jose Mercury News

As Noland tussled with an unidentified 20-year-old, the doors to the bus somehow opened and both women spilled out into the southbound lanes of state Highway 17 in Los Gatos.

Noland was run over by the bus and killed while the other woman got away with a road rash and other non-life threatening injuries.

The Mercury News reported that some of the 12 to 15 passengers on the bus fled the scene after the horrific accident. Two were arrested for public intoxication.

Califoia Highway Patrol officer DJ Sarabia told the newspaper that the driver of the bus, which was operated by Party Bus of Santa Cruz, has not been charged and the incident remains under investigation. He declined to name the driver.

With the exception of the bus driver, all the passengers were "highly intoxicated” and uncooperative, he told the newspaper.

Roberta Dallimonti, a Good Samaritan who was flagged down at the accident scene, later told the Mercury News she saw a man who claimed to be Noland’s boyfriend punch out a police car window.

Noland was the daughter of the owners of the well-known Pacific Wave Surf Shop in Santa Cruz.

The store’s assistant manager, 25-year-old Jessica Eshom, described Noland as a “super fun person” who loved country music and fashion.

“She had a good heart, a good soul,” she told the paper.

Party Bus of Santa Cruz supplied the bus.

The Mercury News noted that the accident occurred as the Califoia legislature is considering a bill to clamp down on underage drinking on party buses.
