Mom uses toy sword to fight off bear attacking family dog
A toy sword isn't a toy when you use it to scare off a bear, which is exactly what a Massachusetts woman did after she found the bear mauling her dog in her backyard. Sam Curran told WSHM that when his wife, Karen, saw a 200-pound black bear biting Lilly, the family's golden retriever, she swatted it with a toy sword until the bear ambled off.
Lilly survived after a trip to the vet, but just bear-ly. You can groan at our jokes, and you might gasp at her gruesome injuries, but Lilly's still alive all thanks to mom's sweet swashbuckling.
