A man has been charged with murdering his elderly father by sitting on his head to prove ‘how big and bad he was’.

Kyle Webb, 44, is alleged to have suffocated father Franklin, 74, following an argument about a leaky pipe and the way in which his son was cleaning up.

Police in Kansas City, Missouri, said that Webb had admitted to the killing telling them that he was angry at complaints.

He said that he wanted to scare his father by pretending that he was going to hit him with a vodka bottle, a police report said.

Webb went to punch his son but fell over when Kyle Webb jumped on him, it added.

He told police: ‘I had to prove how big and bad I was.’

He added that he sat on his head for up to 12 minutes to show that he could control his father. But he suffocated and Webb is facing charges of second degree murder.
