Massive fire in downtown Los Angeles as apartment construction site goes up in flames
A MASSIVE fire was buing out of control in LA, with hundreds of firefighters battling to contain the blaze.
More than 250 firefighters rushed to the fire at an apartment building that was under construction, reports The Los Angeles Times.
The infeo, which could be seen for miles, shut down two highways.
LA Fire Department spokesman David Ortiz said the cause of the firewas not yet known.
Fire fighters said there were no injuries, and no one was in the building when it blaze began.
