An Oregon judge has ordered a 45-day jail sentence and mental health evaluation for a 33-year-old man who struck customers with light sabers at a Toys R Us store.

The Oregonian reports the wanna-be Jedi David Allen Canterbury told judge Kenneth Walker that he is already seeking treatment and also apologized to his victims.

Portland police say Centerbury had a Star Wars light saber in each hand as he swung at three customers last Dec. 14 at a Toys R Us.  He also carried the sabers outside the store and swung at police.

Officers eventually wrestled Canturbury to the ground, but only after they tried to Taser him to subdue him, and he managed to break one of the electrical wires and disable the device.

Canterbury pleaded no contest to fourth-degree assault and resisting arrest. The judge dismissed charges of interfering with a police officer, theft and disorderly conduct.

Canterbury has been banned from the toy store.
