Houston woman run over and killed trying to save suicidal boyfriend
The victim was wrestling with her boyfriend to get off from the road when she was struck by an oncoming car.
The unnamed woman died instantly following the tragedy in Houston, Texas.
Her boyfriend – who had been drinking at a nearby bar – was believed to be laying in the middle of the road when accident happened.
According to reports he may have been trying to kill himself and the girlfriend had been trying to pull him to safety.
Investigators said he was now in custody awaiting a mental assessment.
The driver of the car that rammed into the victim was not drunk and was not charged with the crash.
