‘High elf’ Konrad Bass battles evil, attacks car in Portland

A SELF-DESCRIBED “rogue assassin” high on LSD and dressed in chain mail was arrested after jousting the car of a woman who was “totally bad-vibing” him.

The female motorist called police claiming a “pirate” was attacking her red BMW with a sword and staff at an Oregon intersection last week.

Officers arrested 30-year-old Konrad Bass who told police he had taken a hallucinogenic drug and identified himself as a “High Elf engaged in battle with the evil Morgoth”, according to KATU.

Morgoth is a character created by JRR Tolkien in a prequel to the Lord of the Rings stories.

He is the original dark lord and master of Sauron and is the character from which all evil grew.

Bass was cited for criminal mischief and transported to Providence Hospital where he is undergoing a psychiatric evaluation.

The woman’s car had several puncture marks.

Bass, meanwhile, had this to say about his live-action role-playing: “Morgoth got the best of me.”

Bass, who also goes by the name Konrad McKane, also told Vocativ he experiences hypomania, which allows him to fully embody characters for days on end.

“That woman was totally bad-vibing me, and I guess I just took it to the next level,” he said. “I wasn’t in my right mind. I was still rocking my new pair of elf ears.”
