Heroic mom Stephanie Decker loses legs while saving her kids during tornado
The toadoes that ripped through Southe Indiana last week decimated the region. Among the survivors was the Decker family, thanks to the efforts of Stephanie Decker, who lost parts of both of her legs while saving the lives of her two young children.
When a toado struck her Marysville, Ind., home, Decker took her children into the basement, bound them together in a blanket, and shielded them with her body. The children were uninjured, but Decker lost one leg above the knee and the other above the ankle.
