Gunman arrested over school shooting in northern Nevada
A MAN has been arrested after opening fire at a northe Nevada middle school on Monday moing.
Reno Gazette-Joual reported the gunman shot a 12-year-old boy as classes were starting at Sparks Middle School about 7.15am (1.15AM Monday AEST).
Two patients have reportedly been taken to hospital.
Washoe County School District spokesman Charles Rahn said the middle school and the adjacent Agnes Risley Elementary School have been evacuated to Sparks High School.
He said middle and elementary schools will be closed Monday.
Sparks is a city just east of Reno.
