After decades of suffrage, women finally won the right to vote in the early 1900s.

It was an historic moment for inteational democracy.

But today one television presenter went right back to the dark ages after suggesting this right should be rescinded for younger females because they are too stupid.

Kimberly Guilfoyle, a host for The Five Show on Fox News, went on to suggest young women should instead stick to updating their Tinder and Match.com profiles.

The comments, made during a segment on women’s votes during the upcoming American midterm elections, were met with astonishment online with many simply writing: ‘seriously?!’ and ‘wow’.

Guilfoyle was reacting to co-host Greg Gutfeld during the show on Tuesday as he said: ‘With age comes wisdom’ and ‘the older you get, the more conservative you get’.

She agreed with him, adding: ‘It’s the same reason why young women on juries are not a good idea. They don’t get it!’

She continued, saying they shouldn’t vote because they haven’t the same life experience as older women like ‘paying bills, doing the mortgage, kids, community, crime, education, healthcare.’

She then said: ‘They’re [young women] like healthy and hot and running around without a care in the world.

‘I just think excuse them so they can go back on Tinder or Match.com.’
