Former Miss Nevada beauty queen Katherine Rees arrested over meth trafficking

A former beauty queen has been arrested and charged over drug trafficking offences.

Katherine Nicole Rees, 30, once Miss Nevada USA, is accused of selling meth, according to Las Vegas Justice Court papers.

On Wednesday, Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Joe Sciscento issued a $50,000 arrest warrant for Rees.

In 2008, Rees was charged with for resisting arrest after a traffic stop in Las Vegas.

A year and a half later she appeared on an Australian television show called Border Security: Australia’s Front Line.

She was questioned after swabs of her Louis Vuitton bag tested positive for cocaine and meth at a Sydney airport.

At the time she said: ‘I don’t do drugs. I don’t use cocaine. I don’t use any kind of pill, no kind of Xanax, no anything. I don’t use anything.’

She was released without being charged.

Rees has already pleaded guilty to possessing a drug in 2012.
