Former Butler County Elections Chief Tippi Slaughter Pleads Guilty
BUTLER COUNTY, Ohio -- Butler County's former election director has pleaded guilty to a charge of theft in office.
Xanthippie "Tippi" Slaughter was indicted in June. She was accused of taking between $500 and $5,000 from the county's Democratic Party this year. Slaughter was treasurer for the party and has since resigned.
Slaughter was also fired by Butler County.
She will be sentenced Sept. 21 and faces up to 18 months in prison.
