Florida Teacher Jennifer Fichter faces decades in prison after allegedly having sex with three students

A 30-year-old teacher faces decades in prison after pleading guilty to 37 charges of having sex with three students and getting pregnant by one.

Jennifer Fichter is accused of repeatedly having sex with at least three students when she taught as a high school teacher in Polk County, Fl.

WFLA reported that the suspect recently pleaded guilty to 37 counts of unlawful sexual contact with a minor. She could face up to 15 years per count when she is sentenced in July.

The suspect taught English, but was fired after her arrest in April. She rejected a plea deal from the state and entered an open plea.

The suspect was originally arrested and charged with six counts in connection to the first victim. After that, another victim came forward and she was charged with another 20 counts. Finally, a third victim came forward and she was hit with several more charges.

One alleged victim was a 17-old-boy who allegedly had sexual intercourse with the suspect several times, sometimes in his room when his mother was away, according to The Daily Mail.

One of the victim’s mothers became suspicious when her son was not home at 5 a.m. She then went through his phone and found suspicious text messages.

The mother called the teacher and recorded the conversation for police. In the conversation, the teacher allegedly said she had become pregnant with the teen’s child and had an abortion. She also allegedly said she had fallen in love with the victim and wanted to keep seeing him.
