Furious girlfriend leaves deep scratch marks on ex- boyfriend after argument over a blanket

A woman has been arrested after assaulting her boyfriend in an attack that left him covered in bloody scratch marks, police say.

The reason? The pair had broken up and couldn’t agree on who got to keep a blanket.

Police in DeLand, Florida were called out to a domestic disturbance on Tuesday evening, where they found the recently single Emma Campbell, 20, screaming outside of her apartment.

After her now ex-boyfriend, Alexander McCall, also 20, told the officers that Ms Campbell had attacked him with her nails and showed them his wounds, she was arrested and charged her with battery causing bodily harm.

Photos taken at the scene by police show Mr Chapel’s chest and back covered in deep scratch marks.

Police spoke to the former couple and determined the fight was over a favourite blanket they shared.

The arrest report stated: ‘Due to Campbell’s aggressive attacks with her nails, McCall shoved her off of him at which time she landed on the floor.’

Ms Campbell reportedly told police that she cut her lip during the fracas, however they found no injuries on her.
