Falmouth Family loses 2 sons weeks apart
FALMOUTH - Falmouth police are investigating an early moing fatal accident in which a local family to lost second son in just weeks.
The first tragedy happened about a month ago when 21-year-old Daniel Andrade disappeared while operating a boat .
It’s every parent’s worst nightmare: losing a child, and now the Andrades have lost both of their sons, just weeks apart.
Their two sons died less than two months apart. TTWednesday moing. Twenty-one-year-old Danny Andrade was killed in a boating accident late this June.
According to the traffic report, Douglas was traveling southbound on Davisville Road at 76 miles per hour. It’s a 30 mile per hour zone. When police spotted him, they had to tu around and catch him, but by that time, he had hit the pole and then a tree.
Just weeks ago, Danny’s body was pulled off the coast of Mashpee by Coast Guard one week after he went missing while operating a boat for Little River Boat Yard. Friends say the accident broke his older brother Douglas' spirit.
There is no word on funeral arraignments yet, but just like when Danny passed, a memorial fund will be set up to offset the costs of this second funeral.
