LAWRENCE  - The driver accused in a deadly car accident that left two people dead plead not guilty to drunk driving charges in Lawrence District Court on Monday.

Shayna Feandez, of Lawrence, appeared in court for the Saturday moing crash. She was ordered held on $50,000 bail.

Police say the 21-year-old Feandez was allegedly driving drunk and speeding when her Acura RSX slammed into a Chevrolet Blazer driven by 62-year-old Francis O'Hanley Jr., on Route 93 north in Andover. O'Hanley, of Saugus, was killed at the scene.

A passenger in the SUV, 57-year-old Joseph Coppola, of Malden, died from his injuries Sunday.

Feandez was not hurt. She is scheduled for a pre-trial hearing on July 14.

During the investigation, Interstate 93 northbound was shut down and traffic was detoured onto Interstate 495 for about an hour.

All lanes and ramps were opened about three hours after the crash.
