Dead body falls out of coroner's van onto traffic-filled main road
We’ve all had to swerve around a rogue traffic cone at some point, but a corpse strapped to a guey would be a first for most drivers.
A coroner’s van in Bucks County Pennsylvania accidentally let a dead body wheel onto a town’s main street after a rear door malfunction.
Bystander Jerry Bradley witnessed the corpse falling out, pulled over, took a photo and wheeled the hospital trolley to a nearby car park where the offending van was parked.
Mr Bradley described his first thoughts on seeing the body : ‘I thought someone was playing a prank, someone is pranking people.’
‘It was the most bizarre thing I’d ever seen.’
A Bucks County spokesman said of the incident: ‘The Bucks County Coroner’s Office deeply regrets this incident and will take steps to ensure that it is not repeated in the future.
