A FEMALE CEO in Texas has taken a hammering on social media for saying a woman “shouldn’t be president” due to “different hormones” and “biblical sound reasoning.”

Cheryl Rios, of Dallas-based Go Ape Marketing, took to her personal Facebook page in reaction to Democrat Hillary Clinton’s presidential bid.

“If this happens — I am moving to Canada. There is NO need for her as she is not the right person to run our country — but more importantly a female shouldn’t be president.

“Let the haters begin ... but with the hormones we have there is no way we should be able to start a war. Yes I run my own business and I love it and I am great at it BUT that is not the same as being the President, that should be left to a man, a good, strong, honorable (sic) man.”

CBS 11 interviewed Rios and asked her to explain her comments. She was and is unrepentant but the twittersphere has gone wild.

Hashtag #everydaysexism was filled with hatred and criticism of Rios, as was her own account.

Rios defended her view but was sickened by the abuse.

“Initially, I was stunned and shell-shocked at the levels people were delving in order to curse and vilify me,” Rios said in a statement.

“Another shocking element has been the fact that so many women have been the main culprits with some of the most extreme examples of vulgarity that I have ever witnessed. I shared my feelings with some close friends.

“One element through all of this has hit me hard: If I, as a professional woman can be shaken to the core, what must a child be experiencing when they are attacked online?

“If there can be a silver lining to this situation, it is that I am experiencing first-hand what truly is ‘cyber-bullying’.”
