Arkansas mom Stephanie Hernandez found shot dead after taking Snapchat selfie with gun pointed at her

These disturbing Snapchat selfies were posted by a young mum just a few hours before she was found shot dead.

In the pictures Stephanie Heandez, a 21-year-old mother-of-two, is posing with her boyfriend Rafael Gonzalez – who is pointing a gun at her head.

The photos were taken on Sunday. At around 7.30pm that same evening police found her body in her ransacked home in North Little Rock, Arkansas.

‘Strap’ is slang for a gun

According to North Little Rock police, she had a single gunshot wound on the side of her head.

Gonzalez, 20, was arrested on suspicion of murder and is now in police custody.

One of the selfies is captioned ‘Strap chat’. ‘Strap’ is slang for a pistol or handgun.

Stephanie’s daughters, who are aged three and eight months old, were staying with relatives when she died.

According to the arrest affidavit, a friend claimed Gonzales ‘accidentally shot’ his girlfriend and that he ‘routinely plays around with a pistol’.

‘It’s hurting. It’s hurting all of us,’ Stephanie’s uncle Rey Heandez told ArkansasMatters.com.

‘We need closure and we don’t know what’s going on. She left two beautiful daughters behind and now they won’t see her.’

Gonzales has pleaded not guilty to murder.
