Alabama man Zachary Torrance accused of robbing Subway after failing to lose weight on the sandwiches
A man is accused of robbing Subway stores at gunpoint after failing to lose weight on the sandwiches.
Zachary Raphael Torrance, from Alabama, was arrested after a customer watched CCTV footage that was posted online and pointed him out, police said.
He had allegedly targeted four stores.
Police chief Chuck Hagler said: ‘He told the detective that he had been on the Subway diet and it had not worked for him and he felt like he wanted his money back.
‘The detective felt like he was being serious.’
