9 year old Calysta Cordova became a hero by outsmarting alleged kidnapper
You wouldn't have expected a happy ending, not after nine year old Calysta Cordova was abducted while she was walking home from school.
A day later, a bruised and battered Cordova walked into a Colorado Springs convenience store and asked to use the phone.
The quick-thinking girl called 911 and when Jose Garcia, her alleged kidnapper, came in to find her, she yelled "I ain't going nowhere."
Garcia ran and, by the time he was arrested at a bus station, Cordova had been reunited with her family. "She is an amazing young girl," a police spokeswoman said. "She [...] became a hero by rescuing herself."
How have you waed your kids about strangers?
