55-year-old Donna Cuppels Identified as Woman Shot At ATM

LEESBURG, Fla -- Police have identified the woman who was ambushed and shot while trying to withdraw money from a Leesburg ATM.

They said 55-year-old Donna Cuppels, of Fruitland Park, is recovering at an Orlando hospital after a violent ATM robbery at the Insight Financial Credit Union on the coer of U.S. 441 and 3rd Street (see map) on Tuesday.

Detectives said that at least three people drove up in a large pickup truck and were blocking the victim's way out of the drive-through. She was shot at least once, police said, but still managed to call 911 as the robbers retreated empty-handed.

Lake County investigators said that no arrests have been made, but they are enhancing surveillance that has not been released yet.

Police said they are looking for up to three people who were in a gray or silver extended cab pickup truck.
