Woman Jennilyn Dellovechio Accused Of Stealing $12K From Daughter's Cheerleading Squad
DERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Police have charged a Derry mother with stealing $12,000 from her daughter's high school cheerleading squad.
Investigators said Jennilyn Dellovechio was the treasurer of the Derry Area Cheerleaders Parents Booster Club when she forged checks and bank statements.
Police said Dellovechio kept reimbursing herself with the club's money and wouldn’t say what the reimbursement was for.
Investigators said the forgery began in 2009 and reached its peak this year when the cheerleading squad had no money to purchase uniforms.
Channel 11's Courtney Brennan reported that Dellovechio works in the billing department of the Derry Township Municipal Authority. Managers would not comment on her status as an employee there.
