‘Wife-choking’ anchorman Rob Morrison rearrested for allegedly stalking wife Ashley Morrison

A DISGRACED New York news anchor who recently faced accusations of choking his wife has been rearrested for stalking her.

Former WCBS News presenter Rob Morrison, 46, was charged with criminal violation of a protective order and second-degree harassment after tuing himself in to authorities this week.

Police had issued a warrant for his arrest after his estranged wife, former CBS Money Watch reporter Ashley Morrison complained he was harassing her, the Darien Times reported.

Investigators will allege a search of Rob Morrison’s mobile phone records showed he placed 121 calls to his wife in a single weekend at the end of last month.

Morrison was arrested in February last year for allegedly choking Ms Morrison during a domestic dispute. The charges were reduced and a protective order put in place instead after the couple said they were working on reconciling.

Those plans appeared to have gone awry last month after Ms Morrison walked into Darien

Police Headquarters on May 25, “physically shaking” and “in a very fragile state”.

She told police she was terrified her husband “could kill her if she got him arrested” adding that he had waed her that ”she will never get rid of him”.

According to the Times, Morrison was slapped with more restrictive protective order and released after posting bail of $50,000.
