Waitress scores $446 tip off $6 order from supergenerous customer

Every once in awhile a story appears that makes you feel like someone just wrapped you in a blanket, gave you a batch of homemade cookies and told you to take a load off. CeCe Bruce is a server at a Steak ‘n Shake in Indianapolis. On Wednesday moing, Bruce was having a tough time with a table of customers, but kept her cool. Later, when one of Bruce’s regulars paid her $5.97 bill, she left a very generous tip.

Bruce initially thought the gratuity was a very-awesome $46. Then she realized the tip was even awesomer: $446. A very thankful Bruce, who is attending college part-time, said she’s going to use the extra cash to pay bills. [Source]
