Virginia teacher Amanda Nasser arrested after months-long sexual relationship with student, 15, in dad’s van
The Louisa County Sheriff's Office reports a high school sign language interpreter has been arrested on charges involving a sexual relationship with a minor.
Amanda Nasser was arrested Wednesday and charged with two felony counts of solicitation of a minor and one count of indecent liberties of a minor by someone in a custodial or supervisory role.
According to the sheriff's office, the incident allegedly occurred over the course of about a week.
Authorities say some students notified officials at Louisa County High School, and the school immediately contacted the sheriff's office.
The sheriff's office says the incident did not occur on school grounds or during school hours.
The investigation is ongoing.
Sheriff's deputies say a Virgina teacher has admitted to having sex with an underage boy several times in her dad’s van.
Amanda Nasser, 30, from Bumpass, Virginia was a high school sign language interpreter in Louisa County, Virginia. She confessed to police she had sex with the 15-year-old in a parked vehicle near her home, according to prosecutors.
Nasser allegedly also sent him three "inappropriate" selfies while using a pseudonym to contact the teen. She has been charged with taking indecent liberties with a minor.
She also faces two counts of using a communication device to solicit a minor.
The offences were reportedly committed between September 18 and 26.
Nasser was arrested after being reported to authorities by students.
Prosecutor Rusty McGuire said the facts of the case "are troubling" and Nasser may have communicated with another pupil about what happened with the victim.

She is currently being held at Central Virginia Regional Jail.
Her lawyer Thomas Chaffe said: "Obviously, it sounds like there are a lot of facts to dispute."
The charges against Nasser, who has been put on unpaid leave, are due to be heard on November 14.
The alleged victim is not one of her students, said school superintendent Doug Straley.
He added: "The role of education is to develop and inspire, and these allegations represent something very different.
"If these allegations are true, then this is completely unacceptable and something that will not be tolerated within Louisa County Public Schools."
