Utah Vampire trucker Timothy Vafeades held on $1 million bail

HERE'S a gruesome tale out of Utah you can really sink your teeth into.

It's about a vampire trucker who's been fangin' it down the highway and getting himself into all sorts of bloody trouble.

The guy goes by the name of Timothy Vafeades. He has a history of domestic violence and he's just been charged with holding a relative captive in his truck for six months.

Vafeades is one of an increasing number of Americans who wear fang dentures - custom-made teeth designed to look like vampire fangs. He runs his own one-truck trucking business called Twilight Express Trucking.

Recently, a 19 year-old female relative came to see Timothy Vafeades from Florida hoping to get work helping him with his business. He allegedly kept her captive in his truck cab for six months, periodically sexually assaulting her and refusing to let her out even to use a bathroom.

America's Daily Beast, which in this instance seems a particularly well-named website, even reports that he had a set of special vampire fangs on order for her.

Authorities were alerted to this horrible situation when a state trooper saw Vafeades' young female cousin at a heavy vehicle checking station, and noticed that she had a blackened eye and was generally in poor condition.

A check showed there was a warrant for Vafeades' arrest for a previous domestic violence charge. There also tued out to be a court order forbidding him from ever having anything to do with this particular relative.

Vafeades pleaded not guilty at his arraignment but is currently being indentured at the local watch house on $1 million bail.
