Toddler tortured to death by mum and boyfriend at Pennsylvania trailer park

AUTHORITIES say a young Pennsylvania mom helped her boyfriend torture and beat her three-year-old son to death in a systematic and unspeakably brutal series of attacks that went on for three days.

Scott McMillan was tied upside down and beaten, whipped and lashed with a metal rod and had his head smashed through a wall before he died, police in Chester County, Pennsylvania told US ABC’s Eyewitness News.

The toddler’s battered body was discovered at the trailer park where he lived with his mom Jillian Tait, her boyfriend Gary Fellenbaum and Fellenbaum’s wife.

Tait and Fellenbaum confessed that the three-year-old was attacked using homemade weapons like a whip, a curtain rod, and an aluminium strip.

Tait told police the attack began as punishment for the boy not eating his breakfast. She said Fellenbaum regularly beat up the boy and his six-year-old brother and, on one occasion, had strung them both up by their feet and beat them while she and Fellenbaum laughed.

Tait and Fellenbaum have been charged with murder. District Attoey Tom Hogan said he will be seeking the death penalty.
