This woman delivered her own baby, fought off bees and started a fire all while stranded in a forest
If you don’t think this woman is the patron saint of all female bosses, sorry, but you’re wrong.
Amber Pangbo, 35, was forced to give birth in a forest after making a rash decision to take an unfamiliar shortcut after going into labour.
But that’s not even the half of it.
After running out of petrol, Ms Pangbo delivered her own baby in a Northe Califoia forest.
When she had no phone signal to call for rescue, she fought off bees and mosquitoes, started a fire – all while living on apples in the woods.
And what impressing thing have YOU done lately?
Ms Pangbo decided to name her daughter Marisa and tried desperately to protect her from bee stings and mosquito bites.
‘I thought we were going to die. There was no cell service. There was nothing,’ she said.
Ms Pangbo started a fire in the hope of attracting attention, but the blaze quickly grew out of control.
‘The whole side of the mountain caught on fire. I was looking at Marisa and was like “I think mommy just started a forest fire”.’
Thankfully, the plan worked and investigators eventually found the stranded mother and baby.

A Forest Service fire engine and helicopter were sent to the area, they quickly realised Ms Pangbo and Marisa needed immediate attention.
A spokesperson said ‘Our thoughts and best wishes continue to be with the mother and baby.
‘We are very pleased with the professionalism and cool-headed decision-making of our fire response crew.’
