Teacher Sarah Jordan suspended for showing racy Eminem video
WESTBOROUGH - A seventh-grade teacher at a Westborough middle school has been suspended after she reportedly showed a sexually suggestive video by rap artist Eminem to a class.
Superintendent Marianne F. O'Connor said the teacher, Sarah Jordan, showed Sarah W. Gibbons Middle School students a portion of the video for the song "Superman" during a class on media analysis last week.
O'Connor said two parents complained and that the video was "inappropriate."
She says the school and police are investigating whether the full version of the video was shown, or whether a censored version was shown.
Jordan, who has no disciplinary history in her 10 years at the school, is on paid administrative leave pending the investigation. She could not be reached for comment.
