Teacher's aide Holly Polson arrested for alleged sex with 13-year-old

A female teacher's aide at a Palmdale middle school was arrested Tuesday for allegedly having sex with a 13-year-old male student, authorities said.

Holly Polson, a 35-year-old Palmdale resident, was booked at the Palmdale Sheriff's Station on four felony counts of lewd acts with a child. Her bail was set at $100,000, said Sgt. Brian Hudson of the sheriff's Special Victims Bureau.

A 13-year-old boy told authorities that he had sexual intercourse with an instructional aide at Shadow Hills Middle School over the last couple of weeks, Hudson said. A relative of the boy discovered allegedly inappropriate text message from Polson on the boy's cell phone, according to investigators.

Polson had been tutoring the boy during and after school on the campus, according to the sheriff's department. The sexual intercourse allegedly took place in a vacant classroom.
