Boston: Teacher In School Scuffle Elbert Foster : I Am Victim
BOSTON -- A substitute teacher in Weymouth said he is the victim after an altercation with a student during an algebra class at the school on Thursday.
Wearing a sling, Elbert Foster talked about his injuries on Friday.
"I was struck tree times in the side of the face here. I have two contusions on my mouth -- in other words, my tooth went through my lip on this side here, and I have a cut on the other side of the mouth. My shoulder was separated somewhat during the altercation, and that is pretty much it," Foster said.
But Foster said little about his physical altercation with a 14-year-old student at Weymouth High School
"I'd rather not speak about it at this particular point of time," he said.
But the student, Carl Morcy, did speak about it Thursday night and said Foster was the aggressor.
"He hit me like four times in the face, like full force. I could tell it was full force," said Morcy, who said he suffered cuts and bumps from the alleged altercation.
Police are seeking a complaint against Foster, a teacher of more than 20 years. He has been placed on administrative leave.
