Teacher Ernesto Montemayor Accused of Sex with Student in Custody

HOUSTON - A former Pasadena teacher accused of having sex with one of his students is in custody.

Jail records out of Kleberg County in South Texas show that Eesto Montemayor, 56, was in custody as of Wednesday moing.

A source tells FOX 26 News the teacher tued himself in to the Kingsville Police Department around 7 p.m. Tuesday. Authorities had been looking for him since Monday.

Montemayor was a teacher and ROTC instructor at Pasadena High School before he resigned.

He's charged with one count of having improper relations with a child. He’s also charged with one count of sex abuse of a child.

Prosecutors say Montemayor had sex with a 16-year-old female student in his southeast Houston apartment 10 times. The student also alleges they had oral sex in school at least three times - once in the ROTC office and other times in a classroom.

The meet-ups took place from July 2010 to December 2010.

Montemayor faces a $30,000 bond for each of the two charges against him.
