PHOENIX - A substitute teacher from weste Arizona has come forward to claim a $95.3 million jackpot in the Arizona Lottery.
Sheila Verke of Fort Mohave on Monday walked into the state lottery's headquarters in downtown Phoenix with the single prize-winning ticket from the Dec. 1 Powerball drawing.
The 64-year-old Verke was accompanied by friends and financial advisers when she accepted her check. She took the jackpot as a lump sum of $49.9 million.
