Science teacher, Jennifer Riojas, 26, accused of sleeping with her pupil is pregnant

A school science teacher has been arrested for having sex with one of her students when he was 16 - and could be pregnant with the victim's child.

Jennifer Riojas, who last month resigned from her teaching position at Cater-Riverside High School in Fort Worth, Texas, was bailed on Wednesday for sexual assault against a child under 17.

The 26-year-old has been accused of engineering an affair, and allegedly even had sex with the unnamed pupil on a hospital bed when he has suffered an American Football injury.

The victim, now 17, also said that Miss Riojas drove him to motels for sex and even paid for hotels where the couple stayed.

He only went to the authorities when the teacher became pregnant, and he feared that he might be the father.

Pateity for Miss Riojas's baby has not been established, but that the teenager came forward and the teacher was arrested.

Fort Worth Independent School District spokesman Clint Bond confirmed that Miss Riojas left her classroom on October 19 and resigned two days later.

Her resignation letter referenced her pregnancy.
