However Kohrs, now 38, was arrested on Sunday after hitting two men with his orange Dodge Charger while off-duty. He fled the North Beach neighborhood after the 2:20am hit-and-run, according to the Mercury News.

San Francisco Police found the car registered to Kohrs and officers later contacted and arrested Kohrs, who was booked in the San Francisco County Jail on suspicion of two felony counts of hit-and-run involving injury, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

The victims, aged in their forties, were taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Kohrs’ celebrity came around the same time as “Hot Mug Shot Guy” Jeremy Meeks, and many called him a hero, compared to the villainous Meeks. The Daily Beast called him “the Batman to Sexy Mug Shot Guy’s Joker.”

“I was out there one day doing traffic control and some guys asked if they could have photos of me and I consented. It kind of went viral from there,” Kohrs told CNN.
