Priceless: man pays family's meal at Pizza Hut

A MOTHER is on the hunt for the kind stranger who paid for her family's meal and left a three-page note thanking her for her parenting techniques.

The North Carolina woman was at a Pizza Hut restaurant with her three children when she apologised in advance to a man in a nearby booth for her children's behavior, reports ABC 11.

It hasn't been an easy run for this mom; her four-year-old daughter has "bullying tendencies", her six-year-old son was diagnosed with Asperger's and ADHD and her eldest has had to take a year off college.

Add a messy divorce to the list and you've got one strung-out mom.

As her son's medication wore off, her children grew more and more rambunctious and she felt the need to wa the man and ask for his forgiveness.

He told her he could relate and that he had three children of his own.

Later, after the man left, a teary-eyed waitress approached the woman with a note and handed it to her, along with a Pizza Hut gift card and the news the man had paid her bill.

The note read:

"I do not know your backstory, but I have had the privilege of watching you parent your children for the past 30 minutes. I have to say thank you for parenting your children in such a loving manner.

I have watched you teach your children about the importance of respect, education, proper manners, communication, self control, and kindness all while being very patient. I will never cross your path again but am positive that you and your children have amazing futures.

Keep up the good work and when it starts to get tough do not forget that others may be watching and will need the encouragement of seeing a good family being raised. God bless! -Jake".
