Politically correct principal Lisa Curtin wants to call it O'Green Day
Massachusetts principal Lisa Curtin isn't content with just wearing green and indulging in green beer (after school, of course) on St. Patrick's Day -- she's renamed the holiday O'Green Day to make it "inclusive and diverse" for all students at Soule Road School. But some parents have deemed it "political correctness gone too far." Janet Carlyle told Fox News, "It's really stupid. Everybody is Irish on St. Patrick's Day.
It's not a holiday that's generally associated with a religion." This isn't the first beloved holiday that Principal Curtin has apparently tampered with -- last month Valentine's Day became "Caring and Kindness Day." "What's next?" asked parent Dina LaMotte. "Birthdays?"
