Philadelphia Brothers Busted In Huge Drug Ring

A drug ring and investigation you'd expect to see in the movies has unfolded behind the doors of a local barbershop in Montgomery County.

The three-year-investigation resulted in 72 law enforcement officers involved in 21 simultaneous raids in three counties on Wednesday.

It started out with a small investigation by police in Tredyfrrin Township, but they quickly realized the dangerous criminal activity suspected reached far beyond their jurisdiction.

Other agencies got involved and it took countless hours of manpower, surveillance and technology to get the suspects.

The main targets of the case are brothers, Anthony Dennis, 39, of Montgomery Township and Michael Dennis, 34, from Philadelphia.

They are suspected of masterminding what was dubbed the "Dennis Drug Trafficking Organization" out of the Heads Up barber shop in Wayne, owned by Anthony Dennis.

Wiretapping that ultimately gave law enforcement that critical information they needed to know when and where deals were going down.

Among the evidence seized were about 4 pounds of cocaine worth more than $200,000, more than $75,000 in cash and numerous weapons.

Montgomery County District Attoey Risa Ferman credits a multi-agency effort for the May 18th critical break in the case.

What sealed the deal in closing this coup was a judge granting investigators request to wiretap the suspect phones.

Anthony and Michael Dennis both being held on $2 million bail. There were family members in court on Wednesday.
