PE teacher Lindsay Himmelspach jailed after having sex with students and taking naked selfies

Authorities say a Califoia high school teacher was arrested Friday after being accused of having sexual relations with two students.

Lindsay Himmelspach, a physical education teacher at Las Plumas High School in Califoia is accused of swapping nude selfies and videos over summer break with two male students at two different high schools before bedding them.

The relationship came to light after an anonymous tip was sent to the school superintendent, who then alerted the authorities about students having inappropriate relationships with a teacher.

Police arrested Himmelspach at the Las Plumas High School in Oroville, Califoia where she teaches physical education.

Investigators said that the sexual relationships were "brief in nature" and included the sharing of nude photos between Himmelspach and the two students.

She had sex with the first pupil in June 2015 and the second a month later.

Both romps happened off school grounds, police said.

Himmelspach had been teaching for ten years.

She was jailed for four months at Butte County Superior Court this moing.

She will serve a three-year probation but will have to wait on a further hearing to lea if she has to sign the sex offenders' register.

Butte County District Attoey Mike Ramsey said: "A person exhibiting this kind of predatory conduct should be required to register as a sex offender."

She will begin serving her sentence in July.
