Oregon woman Toddi Bork admits deliberately setting husband on fire after row over weed killer

A woman from Mt Angel, Oregon confessed to the cops that she deliberately set her husband on fire after an argument over weed killer.

Toddi Bork, 45, faces a charge of attempted murder.

KTPV reports police carrying out a routine patrol spotted a couple outside their home, with the man apparently carrying something that was in flames.

But when officers approached, Bork is said to have run towards them claiming she had set her husband Timothy on fire.

She told police she had confronted her other half about spraying for weeds because she was worried that her pet dogs could become ill from the chemicals.

The argument escalated, with Mr Bork, 43, telling his wife she owed him $25,000.

She is then said to have covered him in gasoline, and set his body on fire.

Mr Bork suffered bus to 15% of his body, including his face and chest and is receiving treatment at a specialist bus unit.

His wife is said to have told police that while her actions were deliberate, she did not want to kill her husband.

She is believed to have drunk up to seven beers before the argument.
