A LAWYER allegedly hypnotised a client, saying that she is “being made love to by the world’s greatest lover” and forcing her into sexual acts.

The allegations against Ohio lawyer Michael Fine, who specialises in divorce cases and has practicised hypnotism for 30 years, were revealed in an emergency court motion from the Lorain County Bar Association, which seeks his immediate suspension as Fine he “poses a substantial threat of serious harm to the public,” The Smoking Gun reported.

Ohio Supreme Court was also told that Fine, a 57-year-old father of two, is also the focus of a criminal investigation prepared by the Lorain County Prosecutor’s Office.

The affidavit prepared by a Lorain County prosecutor stated that a woman, who had gone to Fine over a child custody dispute, alerted Sheffield Village Police Department. A second woman with similar allegations against Fine has subsequently come forward.

The first woman, known as Jane Doe, reported that she had “strange memories and feelings” after a series of meetings in Fine’s office and in a conference room at the county courthouse.

“She would be unable to recall substantial portions of the meetings, and afterwards she would realise her clothes and bra were out of place and moved, and her vagina was wet,” investigator Richard Thomas wrote.

When told she needed to produce “more definite evidence” the woman recorded her next two telephone conversations with Fine and gave them to police.

“The October 10 recording begins with a discussion of her court case, but when Fine leas she is alone, he places her into a trance,” Thomas wrote.

“Thereafter the conversation is of an explicit sexual nature, wherein he induces her into multiple orgasms.”

Fine declares that she is “being made love to by the world’s greatest lover”, that she will not cancel her next meeting and that all she will remember about their conversation is that “we talked about legal matters”.

A similar scenario took place in a phone call on October 21 with Fine allegedly placing the female client in a hypnotic spell before a lengthy sexually explicit conversation and that her sexual experience “will be secret without the ability of her to recall.”

Police then obtained a search warrant and fitted the woman with audio and video recording devices at her next visit to Fine on November 7.

“Shortly after the meeting begins, Fine hypnotises Jane Doe and directs her to sit on a couch. There is a video camera on the desk. Fine begins sexual dialogue, explaining sexual acts that he will do for her and holding and massages (sic) her hands and rubs her shoulders.”

Police officers then entered the room.

Prosecutors gave the recordings to a local psychologist Ross Santamaria, The Chronicle-Telegraph reported.

“Hypnosis can be used in a therapeutic manner,” Santamaria wrote in an email to the prosecutor. “It can also be used to manipulate individuals in immoral, unethical, illegal (and) inappropriate ways.”

Santamaria concluded that “Fine has experience using hypnosis and that he is using it for his own sexual gratification and not for the benefit of the client.”

The law firm Fine worked for cut all ties with him last month over “unrelated issues”.
