Ohio family abandons 'violent' adopted son, 9
A couple have abandoned their nine-year-old son, who they adopted when he was three months old, and appear to have gone on the run.
Ohio couple Cleveland and Lisa Cox left the boy, whose name has not been released, at the Butler County Children Services last month. The pair have been indicted, but appear to have withdrawn their two other children from school and have vanished. The Coxes said the boy had angry outbursts every day and had been hospitalised for his behavior but and had recently threatened to stab the family to death.
"When you are the parent and you recklessly abandon a child or children, there are criminal consequences," said County Prosecutor Gmoser said. "These children don't have a retu-to-sender stamp emblazoned on their forehead."
