Oakland nightclub fire: Nine dead and 13 missing in blaze at warehouse rave
A NUMBER of clubbers have died in a nightclub fire and several remain missing after a huge fire tore through the 'Rave Cave' party.
At least nine people died and 13 are unaccounted for, Oakland Fire Chief Teresa Deloche-Reed said.
Conceed family and friends of the party-goers posting pictures of the missing on Facebook.
One person named Eveline Darroch wrote: “Hi, I am here with the fire inspector going through the list of missing names of missing/safe. At this point there are several threads. I am requesting that you only post in this thread their name and missing or safe next to it."
Around 75-100 people were inside the warehouse club in Oakland, Califoia when the blaze broke out at 11.30pm on Friday and 55 firefighters were called to the scene.

Denim Decades wrote in a Facebook message: “My brother Griffin is there please is he safe.”
Lana Voronina added: “They are still trying to put out the fire. no communication or sight of people who might still be in there. Waiting here with a group in the parking lot. It's confusing and chaotic.”
Oakland Firefighters said: "31st Ave: Fire through the roof, Command requests all units out of the building, going defensive.
"31st Ave- crews will remain on scene for several more hours. 2 ladder pipes and hand lines still deployed extinguishing hot spots."

FIRE FIGHTERS: Around 55 emergency fire fighters were called to the scene
One Facebook post said that Oakland was filled with smoke, adding: “The smell is rich all the way downtown. Hope everyone is okay and safe.”
Aaron Jen had this advice: "If anyone was exposed to smoke, is experiencing symptoms (nausea, vomiting, dizziness, difficulty breathing), or has a bu injury please consider presenting yourself to the emergency department for triage as the first responders are likely overwhelmed at the moment.
"You will need to be evaluated for thermal injury or carbon monoxide poisoning."

It is not known how the fire started and fire fighters have not yet established the full details.
Crews found flames on three sides of the building, Battalion chief Lisa Baker told the East Bay Times.
The party was reportedly part of musician Golden Donna's "100% Silk" tour.
Witness Christopher Sturm said: "Just left the scene, fire chaplain told me they are waiting to verify the building is safe to enter before they search. Said it will be a while."
